Key Responsibilities:

1. Schedule and conduct weekly calls with assigned students to discuss their academic progress, including DreamBox and IXL usage
{{item}}
2. Provide both academic and personal inspiration and mentorship for students, fostering an environment of trust and motivation
{{item}}
3. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress updates, program assessments, and address any concerns or questions regarding the student
{{item}}
4. Collect grades and progress reports on a regular basis to help track and analyze academic progress
{{item}}
5. Update all student and parent/guardian data as needed, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
{{item}}
6. Attend virtual coach meetings on Mondays at 8 p.m.
{{item}}
7. Attend BOSS Saturdays at Cal State Long Beach and chaperone events in the L.A. and Orange County areas when available

Required Qualifications & Experience:

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills *Previous experience in a coaching or mentorship role preferred *Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail *Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills under pressure *A passion for education and a deep commitment to student success

This position reports to the Program Director. Non-exempt/Part-time. $20 hourly DOE.
